Tax

Our tax services are built on calculating the liability correctly, filing on time and seeing the risk before the transaction is completed. Tax is not a separate universe from commercial decisions. Price, contract, supply chain, employment model and financing all change the tax result. The work therefore goes beyond the accounting entry and also reads the legal and commercial nature of the transaction.

The service is relevant to companies whose periodic filing load is rising, to those preparing incentive or refund files, to groups whose cross-border activity is growing, to organisations in inspection or settlement, and to businesses preparing for an offering or an acquisition. The shared need is to reduce surprise assessments and cash shocks. A small classification error can become a large base difference at year end.

The method has three layers. The first is in-period design: invoices, contracts, transfer prices, payroll and customs decisions are reviewed while the transaction is still live. The second is filing and certification: corporate tax, VAT, transaction taxes and related returns are aligned with the documents. The third is inspection and dispute: correspondence with the authority, a defence file and, where needed, a settlement strategy are prepared. In every layer the assumption is written down. “Everyone does it this way” is not a reason.

The deliverable is not a one-line email. It may be a written opinion on a transaction, a filing checklist, a refund or incentive file, a certification report and a simple risk map for management. On critical items we separate an oral first view from the written conclusion, because management needs a basis in the decision file. Confidentiality and retention periods are agreed at the start.

Value in tax is not an aggressive reading. It is a defensible reading. A structure that reduces tax in the short run but fails in inspection is often more expensive. We therefore present options as a trio of legal risk, cash effect and operating burden. Management then knows what it is prepared to carry. If an area is grey, we write that it is grey. We do not present it as settled.

Time is the hidden cost of tax. A late refund file damages the cash cycle. If inflation accounting or year-end adjustments are left to the last week, both error and overtime rise. Incentive documentation should be designed at the start of the project, not after the spend. Customs classification should be clear before the order is placed, not when the shipment is already at the gate.

The tax family covers R&D and design, indirect taxes, inflation accounting, financial-transaction taxes, customs and foreign trade, employment and social security, and corporate-tax advisory, audit and certification. These titles are linked. An export structure affects VAT, customs and corporate tax at once. A payroll decision changes social-security, wage-tax and incentive calculations. We therefore do not read a file through a single tax window.

A sound tax relationship is not a line that is called only on filing day. It is a working order in which finance, legal, human resources and operations speak the same language. We build that order, set short in-period checkpoints and refuse to turn year end into a rescue. The target is to stay inside the legal frame and let management see the tax position in numbers.

In short, our tax services exist to produce a correct base, a timely return, a documented file and a defensible interpretation. We do not ignore the commercial goal, and we do not stretch the legal boundary. The decision remains with management. We put the options, the risks and the cash effect on the same page. That simplicity is what helps most on the day of an inspection.
